Install the two plugins<\/h2>\n<p>PRO is an add-on: the translation engine lives in the free plugin, and PRO adds the extra models,<br \/>\nthe glossary and automatic translation on top of it. You need both.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Plugins \u2192 Add New<\/strong>, search for <strong>LATW AI Translation for WPML<\/strong>, install and activate it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Plugins \u2192 Add New \u2192 Upload Plugin<\/strong>, upload the PRO .zip from your account, and activate it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>2. Enter your AI provider&#8217;s API key<\/h2>\n<p>Navigate to <strong>AI Translator \u2192 Settings \u2192 General<\/strong>, pick your provider and paste your API key.<\/p>\n<p>You bring your own key, so the translations are billed to you by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or DeepL<br \/>\ndirectly \u2014 the plugin itself never charges per translation.<\/p>\n<p>There is one way to translate that needs no key at all: connecting the site to Claude or ChatGPT and<br \/>\ntranslating from inside the conversation, where the assistant does the work and nothing is billed<br \/>\nper translation. See <em>Translating from Claude and ChatGPT (MCP)<\/em>. Everything else on this page<br \/>\nassumes a provider key.<\/p>\n<h2>2.1. Check your target languages<\/h2>\n<p>Under <strong>AI Translator \u2192 Settings \u2192 Translation \u2192 Target Languages<\/strong> you will find every language<br \/>\nWPML is set up for already ticked.<\/p>\n<h2>2.2. Add website context (Optional)<\/h2>\n<p>Under <strong>AI Translator \u2192 Settings \u2192 Translation \u2192 Website Description<\/strong>, describe what your website<br \/>\nis about and how it serves your audience. The AI is given this on every translation, which helps it<br \/>\npick the right tone and terminology.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Enter License Key<\/h2>\n<p>Navigate to <strong>AI Translator \u2192 Settings \u2192 License Key<\/strong> and paste your licence key from<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/app.llm-automatic-translation.top\/\">the platform<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Without an active licence the plugins still translate, using the free models \u2014 the PRO features are<br \/>\nwhat stop working. It is worth knowing which ones before your licence ever lapses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Claude and DeepL<\/strong> are no longer offered, and a site set to one of them falls back to OpenAI. If<br \/>\nyou want translation to carry on uninterrupted, keep an OpenAI key saved.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The glossary<\/strong> is locked. Your terms stay in place; they simply stop being sent to the AI.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The prompt<\/strong> goes back to the built-in one.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Outdated translations<\/strong> are re-translated in full rather than only where they changed, so an<br \/>\nupdate costs what a first translation costs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Automatic translation<\/strong>, <strong>bulk translation<\/strong> stop.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nothing is deleted at any point. Your Claude and DeepL keys, your prompt, your glossary and your<br \/>\nsettings all stay exactly where they are, and renewing brings them straight back. Translations<br \/>\nalready sent to Claude or DeepL are collected as normal, whatever your licence does in the meantime<br \/>\n\u2014 you are never billed for work you cannot receive.<\/p>\n<p>One thing to watch if you sell with WooCommerce: while the licence is inactive, product translations<br \/>\nsaved in the background are not topped up with stock, attributes and variations, because that sync<br \/>\nis part of PRO too. Re-saving the product once the licence is back restores it.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Translate<\/h2>\n<p>Open <strong>AI Translator \u2192 Translations<\/strong>, select your content and submit it for translation.<\/p>\n<p>What actually gets sent \u2014 the content, the custom fields, the SEO title and description \u2014 is decided<br \/>\nby WPML&#8217;s own settings.
