Following and Managing Jobs
On this page
Every translation LATW Cloud makes belongs to a job, wherever it was started. Jobs in the menu
lists the jobs of all your sites; the Jobs tab of a site lists only that site’s.
#The list
Filter by Status, Site, Origin — Panel, wp-admin, API, MCP — by
Billing — LATW Credits, Your key or Your AI agent — and by time: the last 7, 30 or 90 days, or all
time.
The cost column shows what a finished LATW Credits job was charged. While a job is still running it
shows the estimate in grey, as est. $…. Jobs on your own key show the approximate amount billed
by the provider. Jobs your AI agent translated itself (engine Agent (MCP)) cost no Credits and
show no amount — see Translating from Your AI Agent (MCP).
#Job statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Queued | Waiting for its turn. |
| Running | Reading from your site, translating and writing back. |
| Waiting for provider | A Batch job handed to the AI provider. Results come back within 24 hours. |
| Paused | Stopped until something is fixed — the reason is shown with the status (see below). |
| Completed | Every item is done or skipped. |
| Completed with errors | Finished, but some items failed. The Errors tab says why. |
| Failed | The job as a whole could not run. The reason is shown at the top of the job. |
| Cancelled | You cancelled it. |
#The job page
- Progress — how many items are Done, Skipped, Failed and Remaining. An item is
one piece of content in one language: three posts into two languages is six items. An item is
skipped when there was nothing to translate, for example because it was already up to date. - Cost — for LATW Credits, the Actual amount charged so far beside the Estimated one,
and what is reserved from your balance. For your own key, the approximate amount billed by the
provider and the input and output tokens it is based on. Your provider’s invoice is the final
figure. - Details — the engine, model, mode, languages, origin and when the job was created, started
and finished. - Items, Errors, Prompts and Log — every item with its status, the words billed and
its cost; the failed ones with their reason; the prompts; and what happened when.
#Items and prompts
LATW Cloud translates a job in prompts — one request to the AI each. A post (or a term, or a
product) is always one prompt. Small groups of strings share a prompt, and a large group is spread
over several prompts, so one item can show In progress · 2 of 3 parts. Each prompt reads its
content from your site, is translated, charged and written on its own.
The Prompts tab lists them with their status and words. With LATW Credits it shows what each
prompt was charged; with your own key it shows the tokens and the approximate amount the provider
bills, retries included.
#Paused jobs
A paused job keeps its place and continues from where it stopped.
| The job says | What to do |
|---|---|
| Paused: not enough credits | Top up under Credits, then press Resume. |
| Paused: monthly budget reached | Raise the site’s or the account’s limit (Adjust limit), or wait for the next period, then press Resume. See Site Settings. |
| Waiting: site unreachable | Nothing — LATW Cloud keeps retrying on its own. If it lasts, see Site Unreachable. |
| Paused. Press Resume to continue. | Paused by hand. Press Resume. |
#Cancelling
Cancel stops the items that have not started yet. Items the AI is already translating cannot be
stopped — the provider bills them either way — so they are finished, written to your site and
charged. In Batch mode, cancelling can take up to 15 minutes.
Items already translated stay on your site. With LATW Credits, whatever was reserved and not used
goes back to your balance.
#Retrying
Retry failed at the top of the job queues the failed items again. A retry never charges you twice
for the same translation:
- Translated, but your site did not save it (WPML or the plugin refused it, an error on your
site): LATW Cloud keeps the translation for 7 days after it was made. A retry within that time only
sends it to your site again — nothing is translated or charged. - Never translated (the AI provider failed, the item grew since the estimate, your site could not
be read): the retry translates it, within the job’s estimated cost. Your site counts the words of
those items again first. If they grew since the estimate, the window shows how many more words and
what the retry adds to the job’s cost, and nothing happens until you confirm. Without extra cost
the retry starts straight away. - Translated, but it can no longer be saved: the content changed or was deleted on your site
after it was translated, or the 7 days passed. These items are not retried and the charge stays —
to translate the new content, start a new job.
A job can be retried twice. A job your AI agent translated itself has no Retry failed: ask the
agent to translate the failed items again.
#What you are charged for
With LATW Credits you are charged per word for what the AI translated, at the moment the
translation is ready — not for what your site then accepts. If the content changes or is deleted
on your site while it is being translated, if the item is cancelled once the AI has it, or if your
site or WPML refuses to save the translation, the translation was still made: the item fails with
the reason and it is charged. LATW Cloud does not translate it again on its own; when your site
refused to save it, Retry failed sends the same translation again at no cost (see Retrying).
You are not charged for content that was never sent to the AI (skipped, too long, grown since the
estimate, cancelled before it started), for strings the AI got wrong (they are left out), or for
the retries LATW Cloud makes when the AI provider fails or an answer comes back broken. See
LATW Credits and Pricing.
With your own key it is different: the provider bills every request made with your key, those
retries included, and the job’s cost shows them.
